im 14 and i had sex this summer, a couple days later it was painful to pee. i didn’t say anything for two months because i thought i had an std & i didn’t want my mom to know i had sex. when school started, it got really annoying and i couldn’t sit or stand for too long. i told my guidance counselor and she helped me tell my mom. my mo took me to the doctor & they kept asking me if i was having sex, i told them “no” because my mom STILL DOESNT KNOW. they ran some tests and it came back that i had a UTI, they gave me some antibiotics & it went away in about a week. i was so scared sis lemme tell you 😭

And this is a prime example as to why you should not be having sex at your age. 
1. You really couldn’t tell your mom you were in pain?! 
2. You were so afraid it was an STD that you didnt want to say anything?! Do you understand some STDs can cause you severe health problems when ignored? Im guessing not since you tolerated that much pain for 2 months.
Did you not use protection? You were concerned it was an STD but if you used condoms you should have had less concern that was the problem. 
Bottom line is DO NOT have sex if you can’t understand the repercussions. Doctors cannot discuss your health information regarding obgYN which is sexual reproduction health. For instance, say you went and it WAS an STD, they cannot tell your mom about it. They can give you medication in privacy and would have to tell your mom is was nothing alarming. However insurance can show what meds were given, im assuming since you’re so young you are still on her insurance. Take some time to educate yourself before making choices like that than can affect you permanently. Do not be afraid to tell her you need to visit the doctor, i would be afraid of having lasting damage after a UTI that long. 👀
