Baby Ryann is here!! Failed induction birth story

Baby Ryann was born yesterday 1/1/19 at 6:01 pm. 6 pounds 3 ounces and 18 inches long. I was induced for growth restriction at 39 weeks and after 41 hours of cervadil and pitocin, I couldn’t take it anymore. Never dilated past 1 cm and the cervix checks hurt so bad because my cervix was far back and she was still up so high. I ended up having her via c-section.

Baby girl was having a hard time breathing so they took her to the NICU. She was only on oxygen for 5 hours and has been off ever since. Her IV came out today, now we are just waiting for her glucose level to get above 60. It has been 52 and then 53.

I’m so happy, but so sad that she isn’t in the room with us. We go home Friday and my heart is breaking at the thought of her not going home with us. Has anyone experienced their baby having low glucose levels? If so, how many days did it take your baby to bring them up? FTM here and between learning how to breastfeed, recovering, not sleeping, and going back and forth to the NICU...it’s starting to really get to me. 😢 Anyway, she’s beautiful and 2019 is already my fave year. ❤️
