Military relationship struggle

I've been talking to this guy for about 3 months. Now we talked about being together as like a couple and I am happy when I'm with him. But he's leaving/ getting deployed to another country in three weeks. I am sad that we are going to be separated for 9 months but I know this is just apart of his job in the military. I deeply care about him and just need advice on what I can and we can do to strengthen our relationship.

Just wanted to talk to someone about this and if there are any other women who are dating or married to service members on here.
