I’m Late and need Opinions.

So I have been on the pill for about a 8 months now, and have always had some sort of spotting at least when my period was due, but this month I am 8 days late and no spotting at all or anything. I took a test yesterday morning and it said negative so now I’m conflicted. Should I wait a while and test again or maybe go see a doctor ? Has it happened to anyone else before and just been a missed month and not pregnant or... I’m just at a loss on what to do because it hasn’t happened before. And with my daughter I got a positive before I even missed a period.
