Silly question?? 😕

So I was always told the 1st trimester was the 1st 12 weeks now I have been told it's till 13 weeks and 6 days. Can anyone please clear this up 4 me. I am 13 weeks today am I in my 1st or 2nd trimester.

Really depends on the OB but most go by 14 weeks as the start of the second trimester

Yes, from the official congress of obstetricians and gynecologists:
1st trimester: weeks 0-13
2nd trimester: weeks 14-27
3rd trimester: weeks 28-40
So, first trimester ends after the whole 13th week has passed. Hope this helps!

My OB told me the 2nd started at the 14th week. I was confused too because most of the ladies on here consider 13th week to be the beginning on the 2nd. I went with what my dr said.
