Glucose test help

this is probably a dumb question but I have to take the hour glucose test but I'm not sure how it works.. My ob told me not to eat anything an hour before and that I'd have to drink that orange drink. Do I have to wait an hour after that to have the blood draw? Or how does it work, I don't understand it and my ob hasn't called me back to verify..
