Daycare assistance

Can anyone tell me how this works? I have a two month old and just got offered a full time job but the cheapest I could find daycare is $700 month which would cut into a lot! I’m almost better off not working but I’m not doing it that way. I don’t make much an hour. Has anyone gotten daycare assistance? Is it easy to do? Do they go off what you make? My sons father isn’t around to help and honestly he’s worthless and I don’t want him in my life
