Fainting?

I'm four weeks postpartum and had a fainting spell this morning (thankfully not while holding my son!) just after starting my breakfast. I've been eating regularly, I'm not dehydrated, and haven't been taking any new meds. My MIL decided to take my BP, which read 103/64. Could that be why I fainted? Has anyone else experienced this? Any other reason why this might have happened?

Iron? You could be anemic. Considering we bleed for weeks haha.

My blood pressure is normally low 100/low 60 so that pretty normal for me. After I delivered I asked my doctor to give me a physical to make sure I could safely return to my exercise regimen and he found I had developed a slight heart murmur. He said that it could cause me to faint or feel faint. Luckily it never happened but maybe that's what happened to you. He said you can develop them when you are pregnant and they should go away once your body returns to a normal state.

Yep, that's why you fainted. I have a history of low blood pressure and it makes me faint too. I would just mention it the next time you go to the doctor.

Are u anemic or close to anemic by any chance?

Oh, your blood pressure is lowest in the morning and after a bath or shower. It helps to eat a little snack right away and get up slowly. I keep something on my nightstand.
