Using protection and on birth control (not in the beginning) i only lost my virginity a year and a half ago and ive slept with 16 men. It seems so frowned upon but i cant help myself. Im not a sex addict or anything i just want to experiment with different types of men. Idk if theres an underlying reason to all this. But ive been promiscuous, sleeping with 3 men in one night on a few different occasions.. i wonder if it has something to do with my parents/ how i grew up/ the guy i first lost my virginity to..

Regardless of how anyone else feels about it how do YOU feel about the number of men you’ve slept with? Are you happy? Are you enjoying yourself? After everything is said and done do you feel regret or sad or anything like that? Those questions only you can answer and the answers you give yourself is really all that matters 🤷🏻‍♀️

You asked so here goes. I think it shows a lack of self esteem; like you’re looking for something like acceptance or love in all the wrong places. Studies show that girls that don’t have a strong father figure in their lives are more promiscuous. I think your body is more sacred and should be treated better than letting any Tom, Dick, or Harry into it. If you sleep with three different guys a day, you can’t possibly know these people. You don’t know if they’re nice or dirty or respectable so you’re just giving yourself to strangers and that just isn’t what should be done if you value yourself as a person. So yes, I definitely think there’s a problem with it but do you Boo, couldn’t be me tho.

I'm not gonna judge, because I had definitely hit that number by your age. I started using meth at 15. That led to extreme promiscuity. By age 33, I'd long ago completely lost count of partners. That year I met my now husband and stopped messing around and got sober. Fast forward a few years....I'm now 39. I get flashbacks of sex with random people. The thoughts makes me physically cringe and feel nauseous nowadays. I feel embarrassed and guilty for having no self control. I'm extremely blessed/lucky to have not gotten any std's. I have friends who are hiv positive and were less promiscuous than I was. You have a right to do as you please, just do ask yourself if there might be other reasons that you have had so many partners. Looking back, I let myself be used way too many times. I was seeking attention, but if you'd have told me that back then I'd have laughed. I see it now. Just be careful. Also worth noting, about 90% of the random sex was lame. I wouldn’t be concerned with the number per say but the 3 in one night. What happens if you get pregnant? How do you know if these guys are std free?  I say this not in a shaming manner so please excuse me if it sounds that way. I am more concerned with your safety. Please know that condoms don’t protect against everything especially herpes which is very common. I do wonder if this sudden urge stems from how you grew up as you mentioned as well. Either way, not our place to judge you but please be careful!

Look into Borderline Personality Disorder it might ring true for you & if it does I’d talk to your doctor. I had not the greatest of starts & also had sexual needs similar to yours it sounds. I have BPD, super common actually. There’s also nothing wrong with exploring & having multiple partners or experiences. Everybody needs are different, just do your best to stay safe 💫
