Eucalyptus safe?

I’ve had a very bad cough and chest congestion for days and wanted to know if putting eucalyptus oil in a humidifier is safe. Webmd says consuming it in foods is likely safe but not to use the oil. Does this mean ingesting the oil or using it in a humidifier?

Using essential oils in a humidifier or in a water oil diffuser is safe. Eucalyptus is my all time favorite but I also use tea tree oil while I’m sick or feeling congested and need a little help falling asleep! I also love Vick’s VapoRub which is safe as well 😊

Eucalyptus should be fine. I asked my doc about a few oils that I had researched to be safe but wanted her opinion, and she said the ones I mentioned were totally fine. Eucalyptus was one of them.
