Mine is there, under the baby's head... it was really big too, 6cm x 4cm. She said it was between the placenta and uterus? I was put on light activity and pelvic rest. She told me one that size would take a while to absorb or bleed out. I did have bleeding with mine before I knew I had one. 
Did she say how big it was? My doc said it should reabsorb. So hopefully yours will too! If you have any heavy bleeding or gushes (which I did) call your OB. Sending best wishes! And here to talk about it if you want! 💗
