Should I get my female cat fixed?

Question

To anyone that has a female cat, is it mandatory to get them fixed? My 8 month old cat is not yet fixed but i don’t want to do it just yet. I feel like i should wait it out / not do it at all. I live in an apartment that my cat never leaves so there’s no worry about her leaving and getting pregnant. I feel really bad to do it to her, but i heard that it’s easier to get infections/cancers if it’s not done.  Any advice ?

Get her fixed—I can’t think of one good reason not to. An unfixed female cat will be very stressed and uncomfortable being confined... They will howl and cry to get out—and will be just plain miserable. Unfixed females are indeed at higher risk for certain cancers and health problems. If you don’t plan on breeding her, then get her fixed.

Female Cats are soooooooooooo annoying when they're in heat and will escape anytime they see a door open when in heat.
I just got my 6 month old cat spayed

If I were you I would do it. If she ever got out she could get pregnant. and I believe they also live longer if they've been fixed.whenever I had a cat that wasn't fixed she would always go crazy when she was in heat trying to get out the house and driving me insane

I got my boy and girl (shes 7 mo older) fixed at the same time. I was really indecisive about the girl. Still feel bad she'll never get to be a momma. But I think it's best for her health.

Um yes get her fixed. I am a vet tech and have seen this similar situation many times where the female intact cat gets mammary cancer or they accidentally get out of the place (someone breaking in or there's a fire) and they come back pregnant. Do it for the sake of your cats health.

Don’t breed your cat. Get her spayed. Millions of cats are killed in shelters. There is no demand for more.

Get her spayed! My husband didn't believe in spaying or neutering because that's how he was brought up. (😡 Totally different story) and we paid for it once our cat went into heat. She ended up with over active ovaries so she was peeing all over the house, constantly in heat.  It was horrible. Got her spayed and it solved it all.  
Our dog wasn't neutered either (again, he was brought up not to) and we paid for that as well. Thousands of dollars worth right before and after our wedding.  
Moral of the story? Spay/neuter! Even if it's an indoor cat.
