No period and BFNs? What?!

Hi guys, just looking for any theories here? I’m a regular 28 day cycle and today I’m 3 days late. I tested on the first day I was late and it was a negative (clear blue digital). 
Any theories?

Late ovulation - the only way to pinpoint ovulation is bbt charting. Also, digital tests are really not at all sensitive so could also be that you might be pregnant but just not high enough hcg for a digital.

Sometimes the HCG pregnancy hormone can take longer to show in your urine and be picked up by a test if indeed you are pregnant. Wait a few more days and test again with FMU if AF is still a no-show. And if not pregnant, stress, illness, hormone imbalance, medication, change of diet or exercise can also delay your period.
