I need sum relationship advice!!

So me this boy I’ve been talking to for going on 3 months we broke up 2 days before we made three months and he was still texting his ex and he lives farther than me so my parents go and pick him up the night we broke up he kissed me goodnight and said I love you on my way back to my house he said that our relationship wasn’t healthy and he don’t like to open up at all, so since we been broke up he said it was just a break but idk what to do bc I truly do love him. Any advice??
