Honest opinions on moissanite rings?

I own a moissanite ring that's on a stainless steel band that I wear most of the time.. as my grandmother handed her ring down to me when my husband asked me to marry him. I adore it. I'm way too hard on my jewelry and typically am one to lose my jewelry. The moissanite is actually almost as hard as a diamond I think on the hardness scale is a 9.25, while a diamond is rated at 10. The naked eye can't tell the difference between a moissanite and a diamond.. and contrary to popular belief, diamonds aren't rare and can still crack and shatter. Lab created Moissanite is just as beautiful as natural occurring moissanite, however, naturally occurring moissanite is extremely rare.. diamonds in my opinion are something that I would never personally buy or want my husband to buy me because, I just don't care for the price tags attached to them.. I cherish my grandmothers ring however it's only worn on extremely special events and not an item I'd wear daily as it was my grandfathers gift to my grandmother on their 50th anniversary. It's a 5 ct. Diamond with emerald cut diamonds on either side of it that sits on a gold band and they had her wedding band sautered to it. So it's definitely not something I just wear around for the sake of it. My moissanite is a 2ct stone with a round stone on both sides that are about .5 ct each. Sitting on a stainless steel band, that requires little, to no upkeep.. which is nice. I can wear it doing practically anything however I'll remove my rings when cooking or painting.

I have one and I absolutely love it! I definitely recommend making sure the brand is Charles and Colvard and I personally prefer the colorless forever one line. I have one in platinum setting (supposed to be the strongest option and hypoallergenic since I have a nickel allergy) and people assume mine is a diamond all the time.
