Does a root canal and crown hurt

So my dentist said I need to get a root canal and crown done but the question is does it hurt some say its like getting a feeling done and I got that done before. A little help here 😣😥

Getting my root canal done wasnt what hurt , it was the soreness afterwards! Idk if my dentist was just rough or what happen but i just wanted to rip my jaw out, take your pain meds on time and you'll be perfectly okay😊

I was surprised how little the root canal hurt. Your jaw might get sore but other than that worst part is the shots. The crown is even easier than that. Maybe a little uncomfortable that's all. If you tolerate fillings easily, you'll be fine.

The injection and holding my mouth open (TMJ) hurt the most. Other then that it was just pressure. But I have had 3 root canals and all have failed so I don't like them and will never get another.

I just had a root canal done and it's similar to a filling.. A little more pushing and pulling.. But as long as your numb then it won't feel any different :)

It depends. It took several sessions to complete mine and like everyone else has said the actual work doesn't hurt but it is quite sore afterward.

They numb you really well for a root canal so the procedure itself wasn't bad but when the meds wore off it hurt for a few days..and a crown doesn't hurt it's just a prosthetic tooth they fit over your old one.

The procedures themselves don't but before your dentist do it get a second opinion my dentist messed me up because he thought I needed one and I didn't. having it done when it's not needed causes long term damage I still can't eat hard or gummy foods on that side and it was 5 years ago

Root Canal didn't hurt too bad. Didn't feel it actually happening, of course, just a little sore for a few days after. Crown is practically painlrss. They didn't even numb me (because I didn't need it) once they actually got the crown, just stuck it on and I was good to go right away. A filling is worse, in my opinion.
