Any rowers out there?

I wonder if posture-wise it would be better to pull the knees a bit outwards to prevent my thighs from punching in the growing belly or keep the same leg position but reduce extension. Might not be a big deal but I did start to get hip pain at night so I dont want to aggravate it.

I stopped rowing (during Orangetheory classes) around 30ish weeks because I found that splaying out my knees bothered my hips. I opted to use the elliptical/strider they offer for the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy and felt like that gave me a comparable workout. Do you have the option to alternate the equipment you’re using?

I’m also doing orange theory. I’m 16 weeks with baby 3 and already finding the rower difficult with trying not to wack my belly. I’m still running some, but I caught a nasty chest cold that knocked me on my butt and made running unbearable until recently.

I have a rower at home and its the only machine I have access to other than weight training gear. I kept running until mid-pregnancy due to harsh winter conditions so rowing is pretty much all the cardio I can get!

I’ve been bringing my knees outside a little and I’ve found that my extension isn’t as far either. But 31 weeks and still going strong
