Wedding 5 days before missed period - what to do?

Question

Ill be with all my high school friends and want to have some drinks as I never see them. I'll be 9dpo so I plan on taking a frer in the morning but if it's negative i realize there could still be a chance of pregnancy and I couldn't live with myself if a few days later it was positive and I had drank a lot at the wedding. We had a lot of sex during my fertile week including day before and day of ovulation so the chance is there.

What would you do? Just have a few drinks? (Of course if it was negative the morning of the wedding/9dpo)

My doctor always told me "drink until it's pink!" He says until you get a positive pregnancy test the baby is not even receiving nutrients from you! I was out drinking 2 days before I found out I was pregnant with DS1! I didn't think we got pregnant that month due to my hubby being out of town for work! Little did I know 2 days later I had an unmistakable positive pregnancy test

I just asked my OB about this, she said you do not share blood with the baby until around 5 weeks but definitely after you miss your period and get a positive test.  You are fine to drink!

Yes, you're fine! I've had plenty of friends drink around the time their period should have started or even a few days late on accident! They have happy healthy babies, should be fine!
