I have been constipated & have a hemorrhoid from my pregnancy, are laxatives safe to take while breastfeeding? (Not a stool softener, but an actual fast working laxative)

I've had this issue for months after each birth. I was told to take miralax, drink warm prune juice, and make sure I was drinking tons of water. Getting more fiber and staying well hydrated are key. Once I got it more under control I just kept drinking lots of water and made sure to have a few prunes every day so I didn't get messed up again.

I don’t think so. Miralax is a stool softener and it works really well. It’s not a fast acting laxative though.
