Do they drug test babies in South Carolina?

I don’t wanna get any hate from this post so please answer my question without it! I’m 27 weeks and have been smoking marijuana to help with sickness every so often. Will they drug test me and the baby when I deliver? How long will it stay in the babies system if so?

I get drug tested every dr visit I have. It's mandatory at my dr.s office for every patient. So I'd say yes they will. Not trying to be rude but smoking weed probably isn't very good for your baby.

Doctors office will do randoms a lot of the time. Hospital can and usually do drug test too. I’d definitely stop now so you don’t get flagged or flagged again if they’ve already busted you and haven’t told you. I personally know someone who smoked weed and had CPS contact her less than a week after her baby was born because she failed a drug test before baby was born and her doctor opened a case.

They drug test all babies so I’d stop smoking now. Not only does it decrease the oxygen to the baby every time you smoke it, there’s no telling what it will do to the baby birth defect wise. Use CBD oil if you still have issues with morning sickness, that’s “safer”

Yes they randomly test before birth and while you are pregnant. You will not know when they test. I would be careful with that.

I don’t know bout thereeee but in my area they test babies no matter what after birth .... I would call and  ask the hospital your delivering at . You don’t have to give your name or any thing just call and tell them you have a quick question

When I went into the hospital to give birth they took a urine sample, they didn’t tell me why, but I heard it’s for drugs. 
And I think they check babies blood too but I’m not 100%

Every appointment the hospital tested my urine for all kinds of things. The weed will show up & you will most likely be put on a watchlist. If the hospital is really strict they might get CPS involved after delivery. I’m assuming you are self-medicating since you are worried about it showing up in tests? Try asking your doc for a baby-safe pain med.

You have to pee in a cup every doctors visit so just be careful. A month before your about to give birth definitely quit. Because any trace of that in your system they will take your baby away. I don’t want to scare you.
