So my LO will be 1 in a little over a month (where did the time go?!?) and I am starting to plan his birthday party! We are keeping it relatively small (just family about 20 ppl) so we can do it in our home. The only thing I have my heart set on is cake/ cake smash. Other than that I'm not sure if we'll do a meal or snacks or just dessert. I also have no clue what time we'll do the party. One thought was if we do a meal he might not be even hungry to dig into a cake shortly after. Also, is it better to do cake early when he's happy or at the very end of the party when you can just toss him in the bath after.

I'd love to hear about your LOs 1st birthdays & how they went... time, what all you did & in what order, etc.
