Can I ask my dr to schedule me to be induced? (Read post)

Okay, so I’m 28+3days... This is my 3rd pregnancy. Both pregnancies I went over my due date and got induced. So I feel ill go over with this pregnancy too. 
Can I ask my OB to schedule my induction now? 
Obviously schedule it for when I’m 40weeks.

You can ask but I don’t know if they’ll do it without a medical reason.

My doctor said she’s happy to schedule an induction at 39w, but not before without a medical reason. Never hurts to ask.

You can ask, but they may want to wait until you're much closer to actually schedule. Going over twice may not be medically sound enough to schedule an induction this early, they might want you past the possible preterm labor stage first. I'm going on 35 weeks and planning to ask my doctor for an induction at 40 weeks as well since I don't feel contractions and would rather not run into a situation alone at home.

You can ask, but if it’s not a risk you going over your due date then they won’t do it. 
When I was pregnant on my daughter my doctor booked for me to be induced on my due date because I had. a high risk pregnancy for many reasons. Turns out I didn’t need to be induced but unless there is risk to you and baby they won’t do it

My last pregnancy was my third pregnancy and I was induced at 39 weeks because I asked. Due Feb 22nd and should be getting induced Feb 15th. I count on being induced! Going into labor sucks, I like everything pre planned and in control.

Never hurts to simply ask 🤷🏻‍♀️ each office had their own preference on when they actually schedule (how soon) them but most doctors will agree to as long as the actual induction is at 39w or later.
