False positive?

I took a test five days ago and said it was negative. I was supposed to have my period yesterday but the last two days I only had some mild light pink spotting. Completely clean today. So I took a second pregnancy test and this one was positive. I’m too scared to believe it. To get my hopes up and then not be true. Is there is such a thing as a false positive?

False positive is usually a VFL. This is too dark for that. I would say ca your dr for bloodwork to be sure but it looks like reason to be excited! Congrats!

I’ve been told you can’t really get a false positive. Your body either has the HCG hormone or it doesn’t!

Yes there is. But the fact it was negative a few days ago and positive now is a good sign. You might not had enough HCG in your urine the first time. Take another test or schedule a doctors appointment. Good luck!

False positives arent that common but they do happen. However, in your case, it could be the first test you took you had low levels of HCG and the test didnt catch it. They double every 48 hours. These lines are dark so congrats!! 😊

Definitely positive girlie. Even when I got dark lines like that I kept testing because I was in such disbelief lol congrats !!

There’s no such a thing as false positive. It can be false negative but not false positive. You’re pregnant!! 😊🎉
