I got an oil change this weekend, they were so busy that it required me to drop off the car overnight. I was okay with that arrangement as my car needed the oil change and they were priced great.

But then I read their reviews... They weren’t bad at all... 4.0 out of 5 but one older review stuck out to me. This guy got an oil change and they messed it up, this prompted me to check my car. I did everything right, engine off (it had actually sat overnight), wiped off the dip stick and reinserted before checking again.. My stick had oil halfway up it! I double checked it the next morning with my SO when he got home, same thing so we rushed in as soon as they opened this morning.

The guy has us pull up to the bay door, checks our oil and the damn thing is at normal levels now. Before this I was obvious super pissed and stressed but let my SO do most the talking because he’s the nice one, I’m the one that comes in later to play hard ball. Guys, I was ready to suck this mechanics soul right out of his body. I don’t handle stress well, I thought I was going to have to fight these guys about any possible engine damage. On top of that stress, I woke up early this morning (like 4 ish) because I had stomach pains and diarrhea. I was upset because I really like the shop and trusted them, their workers are kind and customer service is great. I went in there ready to rip their heads off (the worker looked like Zack Baggins from Ghost Adventures, not sure if the names spelled right). I left feeling embarrassed as hell.

Zack Baggins look alike was like “was the car off when you checked it...?” And “did you clean the stick off and reinsert before checking...?” Apparently they double check it before returning the keys too but he said they can make a mistake so he appreciated us coming in to check. I know he thinks we are dumb as hell but he still thanked us for coming in. Lmao My SO and I thanked him and my SO shook his hand.

I need to take a Xanax or Valium if I have to deal with these stressful situations again. Haha I get mean when it comes to money. I absolutely love this shop though... So, if you ever need any mechanic work or tires, I fully recommend Tires Plus. I have no idea how the oil wasn’t okay each time we checked it but it was good the times the worker did.
