Anyone else convinced they will never think of a baby name?

All baby names I love my family or boyfriend hate and make fun of ☹️. Me and my boyfriend liked dace (day-ce) but my mom made fun of it and now I every time I think about it I think of what she said.

I just can't get my man to help me look at names. He hates sitting down to look at lists and he is very picky along with me being picky and he seems to only like fantasy style names like from the Hobbit and lord of the rings and things like that and I refuse to give my kid I name I can barely pronounce. But then I don't like the really trendy names out right now that all end with Lee/Leigh. Like Everleigh or Bentley, or Aubree. So it's been hard. I'm only 15 weeks but with my son he had a name barely two weeks before he was born, and he came early at 37 weeks, so I was beyond relieved we finally had a name, but I want a name much sooner this time.

Stop caring about what your family thinks. All that really matters is that is what you and your boyfriend like. Everyone else will learn to deal with it. My dad hated my sons name and we still used it. My maternal grandmother made fun of its spelling but I still spelled it the same way. And no one says a damn thing now.

No one has to like it but you. My parents are Hispanic and were mad that I chose Audrey as my daughters name. I'm due in 25 days and now they got over it. I didnt budge. That's my child.

I would keep the names between you and your spouse!  I have learned that its just way more stressful to tell anyone cause everyone has to put in their option and a lot of times it's not a nice one!  But once your little bundle comes out people do that seem to care to much about the name just the sweet baby! ❤ good luck dear!

My recommendation is keep it to yourself so people can't be so opinionated. I like traditional names my nan, I know didn't like my choice for my youngest by her tone but she was polite when we told her the name was Annaliese, to her it was a German name and not suitable for our British heritage (ww2 and all that) but me and her dad wanted to use a name from a strong female throughout history so she was named after Anne Frank.
