Anyone go through this...Worried

I had brown spotting all morning, went to doctor and they said there is nothing in my uterus, my lining is thickened and my cervix is closed. I should be a little over 5 weeks so they said I could just be earlier than I thought or I miscarried. She didn’t seem hopeful and told me miscarriages are not our fault. Now I’m waiting for my bloodwork to come back as they said that’s the only way to truly know what going on. I’m just down thinking that I already lost this pregnancy. Anyone hav a similar story, how did it turn out ?
