This is the third time my new client has taken his sweet time to pay me. The first time, he took almost 5 or 6 days to respond and when he did, he said he was on vacation.

Second time happened to be a couple days before New year, so again he took a few days and admitted that he did find my messages annoying (I sent like 4 or 5).

Third time is now, he was supposed to pay on the 5th according to his payroll calendar and I reminded him yesterday as well, but no response. It's as if he's waiting to pay on the next pay period in about 10 days or so.

Since we live from pay check to pay check it gets a bit hard when he takes longer than two days to make payment.

Or am I over thinking this and should just let him take his time?

Edit: It's a work at home freelance job. We discussed that he'd pay once a week and then after 2 weeks, he changed it to every 2 weeks which is fine with me and I thought he'd stick to his pay calendar but he's taking his sweet time. :(
