Did you succeed in getting pregnant with the first round of ivf?

Anyone succeed the 1st try? Was it a fresh or frozen cycle? If so what did you do to prepare before the transfer?

Yup it worked for us on the first try with a fresh cycle.  We were up against anovulation and low count. I didn't do anything special to prepare for the transfer itself, but did do a lot of resting because it took me the full 5 days between retrieval and transfer to recover.  But in the end I had 22 eggs retrieved, 1 transfered and 5 frozen. And for reference I'm 29 in case age is a factor for you. Good luck!

It worked for us. I was on Bravelle/menopur/Lupron and as things developed my RE said I was a poor responder. He offered us the option of canceling and restarting with different meds. We decided to continue as we didn't want to wait several more months when we were so close. At retrieval day, I only had four eggs, all of which fertilized. They didn't all grow and the decision was made to do a three day transfer in hopes to have something stick. We transferred two back, one was weaker than the other. One stuck and I am now 23w1d with a healthy girl. The eggs that weren't transferred did not make it to freezing Sofia our next baby we get to start over but I feel blessed to have success.

Like another commenter said, everyone is different. Sometimes first cycle works, sometimes you need things to be tweaked and go again. Wishing you the best of luck!!!

There are a lot of expectations with IVF. A lot of women do get pregnant the first time, a lot of women don't. A lot of women end up like me: 5 rounds of IVF, 5 fresh cycles, 1 frozen cycle, pregnant 5 times - which turned into 4 chemicals and a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks.

Every IVF journey is as individual as the person. Even if you had the exact same stats at someone else, there are no guarantees you will have the same experience.

Thank you both for your comments I am doing a mini ivf well already did it where it is less medicine and follows more a natural cycle. The problem is with less medicine you get less eggs. Although I ended up with 5 eggs only 1 fertilized. I have friends who also got got pregnant after their 1 try and others who also had to do a few rounds. But always hoping to try smthg to prepare myself.
