Spotting, no period, negative test

My partner and I started trying to conceive August 7th. My last regular period was July 26th (start) August 20th I had brown discharge and light pink blood, this lasted until August 22nd. On August 21st I had blood work and urine down at the hospital it was negative. So I thought okay that was my period I'm not pregnant. August 25th in the afternoon when I peed and wiped I had thick clear discharge with pink in it. I thought maybe the test was wrong and it was implantation bleeding since that was the day my regular period should have started. I had light spotting when I wiped when I peed for 2 days and now my cervix is high and closed. I did a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Help?!
