Has anyone loved a name for a while and then it became really popular?

About 11 years ago I was starting to write a novel and searched long and hard for a name for the male protagonist. I found Cade somewhere online and loved it and wanted to use it for a baby boy one day. I told friends and family and no one had heard of it. Now Cade/Kade and various spellings of Caden are everywhere! 
Who else has experienced something similar? What was the name?

In the US, Case was actually more popular back then than it is now.

I think it's a really interesting phenomenon though... like when we chose a name and then start hearing it everywhere only after we use it, and so we assume it only became popular later. But really it was popular all along and we are just more primed to notice it now, so it feels like a major upsurge in popularity.

When I was 6 years old I loved the name charlotte. Everyone else thought it was weird all my baby dolls where charlotte and I said I'd name my daughter that 14 years later it's super popular. I almost didn't name her that but decided I have a great back story for it and there are less in here age group and more a year or two after. 
It's interesting how growing up people always said charlotte was a old lady name and now even those people who told me that in my youth are naming their kids charlotte. 
I love seeing the times change and how different things become popular.

No, I got lucky but I also chose a very unique name for my son. His name is Tavian pronounced tay-vee-an. My second daughter’s name is Kairi pronounced ky-ree. No one I know has or is using these names. My first daughter’s name is Lila and that is a lot more common than her sister’s and brother’s names.
