Missed miscarriage stories?

I’m so sad. I was just told I’m miscarrying my rainbow. That makes two for me. The first was so different though. I started spotting and passed the baby on my own. This time around I’ve been so sick (thought that was a good sign because I wasnt with the last and I was very sick with my first two children), my HCG is rising, everything looks good, but a week ago (6+2) there was only a yolk sac and tiny fetal pole, today (7+2) everything looks the same, no growth. . . I’m just so sad. Especially because my body still feels pregnant. We’ll schedule the D&C in a week. . Please tell me your stories. Did you have to have a D&C? What exactly is a missed miscarriage? My doctor diagnosed mine as an “imminent miscarriage.”
