Sometimes eczema is caused by an intolerance to something mom is eating. Most common offender is dairy. It's in everything so if you wanted to try to cut it out for a while make sure you're reading labels. If it's the cause you should notice a difference in a few weeks. Sometimes it happens quicker.

My son has eczema too, it always comes back. He has it all over his body. The one thing that made a big difference for us is a humidifier and we wash all of our clothes and linens in Tide free and gentle NOT dreft. I use the aveeno baby eczema cream during the day every time I change him and then at night I use the night balm. I also use Burt’s bees soap on him because it’s 99.9% natural and I only bathe him once every 3 days. Before we go out in the cold I rub a little olive oil on his most vulnerable spots. My son had the same issue. When I took him in for his 2 month appt the doc asked if I could give up certain foods to see what was causing it. Started off by giving up dairy.....and so far it has gone away.

Aveeno has an oatmeal bath and an eczema cream... my daughter had eczema all over her entire body and the oatmeal bath twice weekly along with the eczema cream worked wonders!

I would say of nothing topical is working it might be an internal problem like an allergy.
