Rape, HIV.

My cousin was raped in April.

In August she found out she has HIV.

She takes one pill a day for it now.

My question, how do I help her through this?

What's are the things to say that arent ignorant? I want to be helpful, she always says she needs to talk about it but I dont know what to say to help her without saying the wrong thing.

Also the court proceedings are set to start in March, is there anything I can do to help her mentally prepare for this.

Shes more of a sister, than a cousin. I honestly dont know how to take this either. Seems to be a dark cloud in our house and I'm just scared. Scared to say the wrong thing, scared to ask how she is...

I'm petrified of losing her.
