Is it okay to remove NuvaRing slightly early (less than an hour)?

I inserted my ring some time between nine pm and ten pm on the ninth. When I remove it on the 30th for my out week I'm planning to remove it at nine pm. Is this okay, even though the ring was originally inserted shortly after nine pm? Sorry for the stupid question, I just want to make sure I won't end up pregnant for taking my ring out to early.

No, an hour does not make a difference. Taking it out a full day or two before you should is where the worry would lie. :) you're doing good! Keep it up!

Also: saw something about taking it out for sex? Never need to do that--my boyfriend doesn't feel it and neither do I. If you really must... Just put it back in less than 3 hours after you take it out.

It must be in place for 21 full days before being removed. Otherwise you  will lose protection. Please read your leaflet.

I don't think that short amount of time makes a huge difference, especially if it's time for it to come out for your period week. If it comes out in the middle of your cycle and it's out for more than 4 hours, you should take extra precautions.
