My baby's heart rate was steadily in the 150s, dropping to 140s now in the later part of my pregnancy and I'm having a little girl!

I wouldn't go by it. My baby's pretty obviously a boy so the heart rate method was wrong for him.

It is really a wives tale, but at 2 heartbeat appts for me, the heartbeat was in the 150s. When I went for my ultrasound it dropped a tad more to 147 and I'm having a boy :D
