TTC Frustrating & confusing!!

I have been TTC for awhile now. Had a cyst removed from my ovary 5 months ago. And have stage 2 endo. Doctor insists I'll be able to get pregnant. I have been trying to track ovulation, not easy. I had my period 14 days ago and started to experience spotting for a couple days. Which has never happened mid cycle before. I took an ovulation test and it was negative. And then the next day my CM changed to egg white consistency. Which supposedly means your ovulating?!?  Anyone have words of advice or have experienced the same?
