dying hair without damage?

Question

my hair is highlighted and was already kind of dry, but I just moved up north and the air is super dry and it’s been drying out my skin and hair even more. i want to dye my hair a dark brown/black, but I don’t want to damage it as it’s already super dry. 
What are some dyes that I can do myself that won’t kill my hair? 🖤🖤
+edit: I’m allergic to coconut, so anything with coconut oil I can’t use 😩😭

I went from blonde to dark brown. (Naturally VERY dark brown hair). My hair was brittle and, more or less, genuinely disgusting. The last time I got it bleached, it took over 24 hour to dry because of how brittle it was.
I’d had enough. I went and bought a random box dye, dyed my hair, then trimmed my hair. 
I also bought an argon oil hair mask which I used DAILY for a couple of weeks to keep the integrity of my hair, even if it was a temporary fix. 
I also used a highly moisturised shampoo and conditioner.
That was over 6 months ago now. I still frequently trim my hair in order to not only keep it neat, but it’s slowly getting rid of the bleach damage. Only now the colour is starting to fade.
Unless you have a significant amount of breakage or your hair is brittle to the touch, anything should be fine, as long as it isn’t a “dodgy” brand or very stripping to the hair. If you can, try sticking to something without ammonia or bleach inside it.
I’d say if it was recently done, give it a good month to calm down before dyeing it again.
