Small tear in placenta

Hi ladies and gentlemen. I'm here for some advice on my situation. On Wednesday I had some spotting, I didn't think too much about it, due to the fact that this wasn't the first time. But around lunch time it had got brighter and heavier. I work in a doctors office so the doctor that I work for advised me to see my OB. Upon an US it was discovered that I have a small tear in my placenta. Doc put me on bedrest for the remainder of the week. Bleeding has slowed a lot. I'm just wondering if anyone else have gone through this and what were the outcomes.. This is my third pregnancy and didn't experience this with my other two!
