Does getting an epidural hurt??

When you're  getting an epidural does the needle hurt ?

Contractions were horrible and epidural pain nothing compared to it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I didn't want to get it in first place but was induced and it was horrible horrible 😢 I am glad I had it didn't feel a thing 👍

Hurt like a bitch had to try it 3 times and he kept moving it around trying to get the right spot it was hell.

When I found out I was pregnant I kept saying no way was I getting an epidural, honestly the only reason I said that was bc I was terrified it was gonna hurt. I just had my little princess in November, the epidural was the easiest thing ever. It’s the tiniest pinch when they numb you. And it’s definitely well worth the pinch! Good luck

They give you a tiny shot to numb the area before the epidural needle, so it’s not worse than a regular shot. Just a tiny pinch.

Sure there was some pain that went along with it but it wasn’t horrible. Contractions were much worse. The epidural was quick procedure.

I’ve had an epidural twice now & 100% am getting one with this baby too. Best thing ever!! It’s uncomfortable but not painful. The worst part for me was just the awkward pressure & knowing exactly what they’re doing step by step (I’m in nursing school & LOVE Obstetrics and L&D). I was mid contraction both times too concerned with my unbearable labor pains that the epidural was a breeze and so worth it.

I now have pinched sciatic nerve from my epidural and I got that done almost 5 years ago with my son. They decided to keep moving it around. Now I suffer from horrible sharp pain from my lower back down the back of my legs.
