Hair dye????

Hello ladies, I desperately need to dye my hair but have read mixed advice. Does anyone know if it’s ok to use a permanent dye that you use at home, a box dye while pregnant? Xx

I have a well-trusted hair dresser I’ve been going to for years. It is safe as lit as you take proper precautions. 
Hair stylists need to know that your pregnant; so they can properly ventilate. My stylist said it was safe to use up to a 20 developer close to my scalp. Also, if your sensitive to smells this could be tough. 
With my last pregnancy my doctor said that the pregnancy hormones can make hair dye slightly unpredictable. But I don’t notice a difference. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would wait until the second trimester to be safe and maybe just double check with your doctor. My roots are AWFUL and I have an apt with my stylist the day I enter trimester 2! Lol

I planned to avoid dying my hair until the second trimester, but I needed to cover some blue streaks for a new job orientation. I used a temporary dye because it’s more of a stain and has less chemicals. My physician says it’s “likely safe.” There aren’t many controlled studies in pregnancy for many things due to ethical reasons.

Right there with ya Kelly. I need to dye mine soooo bad. I was told there isn't enough evidence to say it isn't safe. So they say you should be ok. I have had previous losses and my OB said if I want to be on the safer side, wait till after the first trimester. That way most the super critical organ development is done. 
Ultimately it's your choice.
