What does a faint line mean? How much time do I have?

Hi first time poster ! 
I was just wondering what does a faint line means in terms of time. What does a strong line means for time? Like what is my time window, I've read that after a positive ovulation test the fertility window is 24-36 hours? Is that true? 
Would appreciate any info!

That's not positive, keep testing daily (some test twice a day). A positive is as dark as or darker than the test line

It is negative the line needs to be as dark or darker then the control line to be positive

Once you get a positive you’re supposed to ovulate in 12-36 hours.
