Blood pressure is starting to rise?

Question

Its still in an okay range about 126/86 the last 2 times they have taken it. 
The whole pregnancy its been 94/60's area. 
I am 31 weeks. 
Should I be concerned about this? Any one have any experience with high blood pressure during pregnancy? And was it a slow onset for you? Or just a rapid change?

Normally they don’t get concerned until you hit 140/90 and stay there or it continues to go up from their. When I had preeclampsia with my first my bp was slightly elevated at my 37 week visit and then sky high at my 38 week appointment. I would be to concerned unless it continues to rise.

On average mine is between 135/90 and 140/95. I’m considered high risk in that I am predisposed to preeclampsia. I’m not medicated for my bp because my levels do not exceed 160/110, so I’m just monitored. My ob explained to me that during the 1st and 2nd trimester, progesterone levels are rising, which in turn lowers a person’s bp. In the 3rd trimester, blood pressure often returns to what it was before the pregnancy began. Anything in the 120s/80s range is completely safe, although it may seem much higher than your 1st and 2nd trimester readings. I’d mention it to my OB or midwife just to let them know you’ve seen an increase, but definitely do not worry!

If your baseline is that low and you’re experiencing that much of an increase, it could still be a sign of pre-eclampsia. They look at how much your BP increases from your baseline, and if they don’t, remind them that your normal is pretty low. It could be nothing but don’t ignore it either!
