Baby Cora was born yesterday morning, 14th of January at 10:43am.

After a long night of induction hormones, my fluids where manually broken at 6am and active labour started immediately afterwards.

Babies heart rate was very rapid, with extreme highs and lows, so we were rushed to theatre and prepped for a c-sect, but as we arrived, they decided to try one last time to push with the vacuum and Cora was born within the next 3 contractions, no c-sect necessary!

She weighs in at 8lb 4oz.

It's been an amazing journey so far.

You carry a little human inside of you for 40 odd weeks, and within a whirl wind of labour and doctors all of a sudden here she is, her own little life force. We are both learning new things about feedings and sleep routines, and just how to generally be these new roles of mum and baby.

I am in absolute awe of her.

Every sound, every grimace, every toe wiggle, my god I just fall in love over again.
