Mirena?

I’m having the Mirena placed next month. 
Ladies who have it, tell me it all. 
The good, the bad. How long did you bleed? Did you gain/lose weight? What did it do to your period? Affect your sex life in any way? Did it hurt to be placed?

I didn't bleed from the placement and I got a regular very regular bleed every 28 days. My DH didnt feel it in a negative way and it didnt have an effect on our sex life.  Idk if all mirenas are the same but my pcp told me the one i had contained no hormones so there was no mood swings or weight gain from it.

I had the mirena for the full 5 years and had it taken out this September.
Overall I'd get it was pretty good! Not having to worry about taking any pills or anything was amazing.
It did hurt quite a bit to be put in (Take paracetamol before going) and I had cramps for a few days after but everybody has a different experience.
I didn't bleed after it and my periods continued as normal, didn't affect my cycle length at all although I did have much lighter and much less painful periods/ cramps which was amazinggg.
