TTC and OPK's

So we've been TTC for 6 months, I haven't been <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android">tracking ovulation</a> but I'm going to start this next cycle. My periods are anywhere from 24-28 days apart. When should I start testing with the OPK's?
