What is wrong with me?

I want to give a baby sister to my daughter as sister bond great,I have two of my own. but I worry that she will get a baby brother and what if they dont bond particularly when they grow up!! Cant get that thought of my head. Help!

They will bond. :) there are ways to pick the gender but theyre extremely expensive and not guaranteed. i would not recommend that. If you want to grow your family you'll have to accept that it could be a boy or a girl :)

I know a lot of same sex siblings that get along far worse than boy/girl siblings do. What I noticed as the most important pattern is the parents' influence and how they raised them. 
My sister and I have completely opposite personalities but our mom would never let us stay upset with one another (even didn't allow us to leave our room until we didn't make up), also taught us to never be envious of one another and made our bonding a priority. I can't even describe the amazing bond I have with my sister. (and I was adopted).
Other parents prioritized a favorite kid or never took the time to make sure they bonded since the childhood years. It's a lot more important how they are raised, rather than their gender, don't worry.

Thank you all so much! This really helps me. I am already pregnant with my second, my daughter is 20 months. I accept the gift of God Almighty with open arms. Having all these comments helps me feel a lot happier! Looking at my first ultrasound, I had a feeling I was looking at my boy child when we both wanted a second girl child. I agree its really the upbringing that matters! 🙏🏼

I’m very close with both my brother and my sister. I also know plenty of people where the sisters hate each other. Just because they’re same gender or different has nothing to do with how they’ll get along

My husband and I were talking about this the other day. I’m the only girl in my family with a bunch of brothers, and my husband is in the middle of his sisters in age (his one brother is a lot older than him). Neither of us felt like we were missing out growing up.  We’re both pretty close to our siblings and played a lot with them while growing up. Once gender became more of an issue (preteen years and older), we had made friends to fill those gaps.
Honestly I did not miss having a sister. My best friends were my sisters, and now that I’m an adult my brothers’ wives are my sisters. Plus I hear teenaged sisters can be just the worst at times haha. And because I had a bunch of brothers, I was always really comfortable around guys and made guy friends easily. My husband says that my ease around him was definitely part of what attracted him.
So yeah, there are perks to having a same-gendered sibling close to your age, but there are perks to the opposite as well. And in the end, they probably won’t know any different anyway. Reality will just be “normal” to them.

I have 2 boys and 1 girl. My daughter has a really tight bond with both of her brothers but my boys have NEVER gotten along. My oldest son is getting ready to go off to college so my hope for them getting closer with age isn’t looking very promising.
