I felt itchy I don’t know if it’s because before I bought it I went to the gynecologist and he said I had a bacteria down there I’m thinking of putting a condom over it

If the gynecologist said you had some sort of bacterial infection I hope he gave you something to cure it.
A condom isn't enough, you need to clean it properly with intimate soap and vibrator cleaner. Anyway a condom isn't required if the toy if good grade silicone or similar, it'll just ruin the condom as far as I've experienced.
Also it might tingle a bit if you're unused to the vibration.
