Swaddling!?

Question

How many of you all still have to swaddle your baby to sleep? My daughter is 3 and 1/2 months old and she still can’t sleep without it. We had to get a sleep sack since she’s outgrown the blanket. I have no idea how to break her from it. She will only sleep in someone’s arms or a swaddle. No in between.

My daughter started rolling both ways last week so we had to go from her needing to be swaddled to sleep to having to have both arms out literally in one day. I had planned to do the one arm out thing to wean her off the swaddle but I didnt get the chance. Luckily it hasn’t really phased her! I think they just decide when the are ready

My baby hated being swaddled at two weeks old XD he liked his arms up and his legs all the way down, I used blanket pajamas to keep him warm.

It really depends. I’d say we still swaddle our 11 week old once or twice a week at night. We only swaddle if he’s really having trouble going to sleep for the night.

I’m still swaddling my 3 month old but I know rolling is around the corner so we’ve just started putting her in a transition sleep sack. She’s in the Halo Self Soothe, she took to it right away thank god.

We still do and my son is 4 months old. Like yours mine can’t sleep without it at night, we moved from both arms in to 1 arm out since he started hating both his arms swaddled but 1 arm worked trick worked. If he’s not swaddle we will not get sleep.

I use love to dream swaddle sleeping bags since baby was around 6 weeks he’s been able to get out of any blanket swaddle no matter how well it was done.

She may not be ready for it yet? I got one of my swaddles from the zen swaddle site, but they have a page about sleep swaddle transition that worked for me (and can be used with like any swaddle sack type) https://www.nestedbean.com/pages/swaddle-transition-plan-when-to-stop-swaddling
Or you can slowly start switching to a swaddle that only puts resistance on the arms but still hugs the body a bit like the love to dream swaddle.
