Anybody else experiencing bleeding during early 1st trimester?

I am 7 weeks. I rushed to the ER sunday night . It started off as a pale pink. Went away & then started coming back except this time it was red & had tiny clots(2 little specs). I went to er they did a sono inside & out & diagnosed me with threatend miscarriage( was told this by a nurse & was discharged immediately & to top it off they didnt even show me my baby)Of course the pressure from the sono from inside caused more bleeding for the pressure. Not to mention had intercoursewith my husband right before I noticed the pale pink spotting. Went back yesterday because I seen a glob come out & freaked me out but the midwife said that it was just mucus & bleeding could have been from all the pressure from sex & the sono that went vaginally & from the speculum they used to open me up. She didnt seem too concerned with the bleeding but have to go back to check my hcg levels & that will determine if I miscarried. They also told me that the baby was sitting low in my uterus. Has anyone else been through this but everything turned out okay?? The midwife didnt even say anything about it possibly being a miscarriage I just hate how I didnt even speak to a actual Dr the first night I went in to the ER.
