Do your pubes ever hurt?

If I decide to go "loud and proud" or just full bush, they seem to hurt. Almost like my junk is tender-headed? If I shave or trim, it grows back so pokey and itchy. It pokes through my underwear and sometimes my pants. This sometimes will hurt too. When it's shaved, it sort of had a red splotch covering about half of my junk. I've had this splotch for some time now. Idk if it's a birthmark or just results of all this pain from my pubes? That just sucks man, I can't win. So do any of u have the same problem or some advice? Anything is appreciated.
